Pride of Punjab : Our Students got Prize at National S.N.A Conference held at Bangalore from 26th November 2011 to 30th November 2011.

Ms. Simerjeet Kaur D/o S. Surinder Singh topped in Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot in Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing –IInd year examination. Batch 2008-10 and the result of Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing IInd year is 100% with lots of distinctions in all the subjects. Result was declared on 7/4/2011.Madam Devinder Kaur Aulakh ,Chairperson/Managing Director of Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing, Hoshiarpur congratulated Principal Madam Dimple Madaan and Vice Principal Madam Hardeep Kaur and all the faculty members and students and appreciated the hard work done by the faculty and students. Sweets were distributed among staff and students.

A one day workshop on “LEGAL AND ETHICAL ISSUE IN NURSING” was organized by M.Sc.(N) IInd year students on 28th January,2011,which was inaugurated with lamp lighting by the Chief Guest Ms. Devinder Kaur Aulakh Chairperson, Managing Director of Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing, Hoshiarpur .The theme was unfolded by Prof. Ms. Dimple Madaan, Principal of the college. She stressed that nursing students must have knowledge on legal and ethical issue concerned with their profession in order to safe guard the nursing practice .This was followed by seven scientific session in various aspects of Legal and ethical issue in Nursing .Around 65 delegates participated in the workshop. The workshop ended with distribution of certificates, feed back from delegates and vote of thanks.

Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing, Hoshiarpur organized a workshop on “INNOVAION IN NURSING” ON 25TH February 2011 which was inaugurated by Ms Devinder Kaur Aulakh ,Chairperson of Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing, Hoshiarpur .Prof Dimple Madaan Principal of the college gave presidential address. About 100 delegates participated in the workshop .The five scientific sessions were held on introduction to innovation in nursing, Trans cultural Nursing, Evidence based nursing practice, independent nurse practitioner ,Telemedicine and telenursing . The programme ended with distribution of certificates and valedictory session. This workshop was coordinated by Mr. Maharaj Singh and Mrs Meena Bimal, Lecturers of Shri Guru Ram Dass College of Nursing, Hoshiarpur.

World Health Day was celebrated in the college on 7th April 2010. An exhibition on "URBANIZATION & HEALTH" was
organized by M.Sc. Nursing students in Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur . Exhibition was inaugurated by Hon'ble Dr.S.K.Gupta Civil Surgeon, Hoshiarpur .

International Women's Day was celebrated in the college on March 8th 2010 . On the occasion , different competitions were organized
in various categories such as poster , collage, essay writing students participated actively in all the activities & were given prizes by Managing Director Madam Devinder Kaur Aulakh Chief Guest of the day.
